Adjacent and Co-channel Interference

Co-channel interference comes from other transmitters on the same frequency; adjacent channel interference comes from transmitters on neighbouring frequencies.

What is Adjacent and Co-channel Interference?

Co-channel interference is managed by frequency planning and reuse distances; adjacent channel interference is managed by emission masks, filters and guard bands. In Wi-Fi these problems are often called channel congestion.
