ADSS and OPGW are fibre optic cables designed to be run along overhead power lines.
What is ADSS and OPGW Cables?
ADSS (all-dielectric self-supporting) cable contains no metal and hangs from power poles or towers independently of the conductors, making it easier to install on live lines. OPGW (optical ground wire) replaces the earth wire at the top of a transmission line, combining earthing and lightning protection with fibres inside a metal tube; it is usually installed when a line is built or re-wired.
