Black Box Model
A black box model is an AI system whose internal reasoning cannot easily be understood, even by its developers, so only its inputs and outputs are visible.
What is Black Box Model?
Deep neural networks are often described as black boxes. Opacity makes it harder to detect bias, assign responsibility and comply with transparency rules.
How it works
Black box behaviour is studied by probing with test inputs and using explanation tools.
