Distribution Point (DP)

A distribution point is the last connection point in a telephone or fibre network before the drop cable to a customer, typically on a pole or in an underground box.

What is Distribution Point (DP)?

In the UK copper network the D-side cabling runs from the cabinet (PCP) to the DP, and drop wires run from the DP to homes.
