Downlink (DL)

The downlink is the direction of transmission from the network to the user's device.

What is Downlink (DL)?

In a mobile network the downlink runs from the base station to the handset. In fixed broadband it is often called "downstream". Most consumer traffic, such as video streaming and web browsing, flows in the downlink, so networks usually provide more capacity in this direction.
