Ethernet over DWDM (EoDWDM)

Ethernet over DWDM carries Ethernet connections on dedicated wavelengths of light in a DWDM fibre system, often sold as a managed wavelength service.

What is Ethernet over DWDM (EoDWDM)?

A wavelength service sits between buying dark fibre and buying a lit service: the provider runs the fibre, terminal equipment and amplifiers, and the customer gets a private wavelength, often at 10 or 100 Gbit/s, with optional diverse-route protection.
