Inline Amplifier (ILA)

An inline amplifier is an optical amplifier placed along a long fibre route to boost DWDM signals without converting them to electrical form.

What is Inline Amplifier (ILA)?

ILA sites, typically every 60 to 100 km, use erbium-doped fibre amplifiers to strengthen all wavelengths at once.
