International Telecommunication Union (ITU)

The International Telecommunication Union is the United Nations agency responsible for information and communication technologies.

What is International Telecommunication Union (ITU)?

The ITU coordinates worldwide use of radio spectrum and satellite orbits (ITU-R), develops technical standards known as Recommendations (ITU-T), and supports telecoms development in emerging economies (ITU-D). Its World Radiocommunication Conferences update the international Radio Regulations, which national regulators such as Ofcom put into effect.
