Single Cell Point-to-Multipoint (SC-PTM)

Single-cell point-to-multipoint is a broadcast or multicast transmission within one cell, using the normal shared data channel.

What is Single Cell Point-to-Multipoint (SC-PTM)?

SC-PTM, introduced in LTE, lets each cell decide independently whether to multicast content. This is efficient when interested users are clustered in a few cells rather than spread over a wide area.
