What is Spectrum Abbreviations (WRC-19)?
ADS-B lets aircraft broadcast their position; AIS does the same for ships; GFT (global flight tracking) uses satellite ADS-B. GMDSS is the maritime distress system. PPDR covers emergency services radio. ITS covers vehicle communications. ICAO is the UN aviation agency; ITU-R is the ITU's radio sector and BR its Radiocommunication Bureau. BIPM keeps the international time and measurement standards; DCS refers to satellite data collection systems.
