Synthetic Data
Synthetic data is artificially generated data that imitates the statistical properties of real data, used to train or test AI systems.
What is Synthetic Data?
It can fill gaps where real data is scarce, sensitive or costly, such as rare driving scenarios or patient records, and can reduce privacy risk. Poorly generated synthetic data can still leak personal data or amplify bias.
How it works
It is produced by simulations, rules or generative models trained on real data.
