Terminal Value (TV)

Terminal value is the estimated value of a business or project beyond the period for which cash flows are explicitly forecast.

What is Terminal Value (TV)?

It is usually calculated assuming cash flows grow at a constant rate forever, or by applying an exit multiple. It often makes up a large share of a valuation, so small changes in assumptions matter a lot.
