Communications Provider (CP)
In UK regulation, a communications provider is any business that provides an electronic communications network or service.
What is Communications Provider (CP)?
Ofcom and the Communications Act 2003 use "communications provider" as the general term for firms that run networks or offer services such as phone, broadband or leased lines. Obligations such as the General Conditions of Entitlement apply to communications providers, and wholesale products are usually sold by one CP to another.
