Detect and Avoid (DAA)
Detect and avoid is the capability of a drone or its operator to see, sense or detect conflicting traffic and hazards and take action to avoid them.
What is Detect and Avoid (DAA)?
DAA replaces the human eyes of a pilot on board. Systems use radar, ADS-B receivers, cameras or ground sensors; ASTM F3442 sets performance requirements.
