Ethernet MAC Address

A MAC address is the 48-bit hardware identifier assigned to a network interface, used to deliver frames on a local Ethernet or Wi-Fi network.

What is Ethernet MAC Address?

MAC addresses are written as six pairs of hexadecimal digits. The first half usually identifies the manufacturer. They are only meaningful on the local link; routers use IP addresses to move data between networks, and ARP links the two.
