Ground Conductivity
Ground conductivity is how well the earth conducts electricity, which strongly affects how far medium-wave and long-wave ground-wave signals travel.
What is Ground Conductivity?
Signals travel much further over highly conductive ground, such as moist farmland or sea water, than over dry, rocky or urban ground. Lower frequencies in the medium-wave band also travel further than higher ones for the same power.
