Human-in-the-Loop (HITL)
Human-in-the-loop describes an AI system in which a person reviews or approves outputs before they take effect.
What is Human-in-the-Loop (HITL)?
Related models are human-on-the-loop, where people supervise and can intervene, and human-out-of-the-loop, where the system acts alone. The right level depends on the risk.
How it works
The system pauses for human confirmation at defined decision points.
