Internet Protocol Security (IPsec)

IPsec is a suite of protocols that encrypts and authenticates IP packets, commonly used to build VPNs.

What is Internet Protocol Security (IPsec)?

The Internet Key Exchange (IKE) protocol sets up the keys and security associations. IPsec can protect whole packets (tunnel mode) or just the payload (transport mode). Mobile networks use it to secure backhaul.
