Korea AI Basic Act
South Korea's Framework Act on the Development of Artificial Intelligence and Establishment of Trust (AI Basic Act) is a comprehensive AI law in force from January 2026.
What is Korea AI Basic Act?
It promotes AI development and sets duties for high-impact AI and generative AI, including transparency, labelling, risk management and a domestic representative for large foreign providers.
How it works
The Ministry of Science and ICT supervises and issues enforcement decrees.
