Latency

Latency is the time it takes for data to travel from one point in a network to another, usually measured in milliseconds.

What is Latency?

It is often measured as round-trip time using ping. Latency comes from distance, processing and queuing in network equipment. Low latency matters for gaming, video calls and real-time control.
