Packet Loss

Packet loss is the share of data packets that fail to reach their destination.

What is Packet Loss?

Loss can be caused by congestion, faulty equipment or poor radio conditions. TCP resends lost packets, slowing transfers, while real-time services suffer gaps. It is a standard quality-of-service measure alongside latency and jitter.
