Over The Air (OTA)
Over the air describes anything delivered or measured through a radio link rather than a cable, such as SIM updates, software updates or antenna tests.
What is Over The Air (OTA)?
In SIM management it means sending updates to a SIM remotely. In 5G base station testing (3GPP TS 38.104), OTA requirements are measured radiated, because active antenna systems have no antenna connector to test at.
