A physical resource block is the basic unit of radio resource that a base station hands out to users.
What is Physical Resource Block (PRB)?
In LTE and 5G, a PRB is 12 subcarriers wide in frequency and lasts for a set period of time. Schedulers give PRBs to devices, so the number of PRBs available reflects the capacity of a carrier.
