Point-to-Point (PTP)

Point-to-point describes a dedicated link between exactly two endpoints.

What is Point-to-Point (PTP)?

In mobile networks, a PTP transmission sends data to a single device (unicast). In fibre access, a point-to-point design gives each premises its own dedicated fibre, as Active Ethernet does, rather than sharing one through splitters.
