Point-to-Multipoint (PTM)

Point-to-multipoint describes a transmission or network layout in which one source serves many receivers.

What is Point-to-Multipoint (PTM)?

In mobile broadcast, PTM means sending one stream that many devices receive. In fixed networks, a passive optical network is a PTM layout: one OLT port serves many premises through splitters.
