Receive Only Mode (ROM)
Receive only mode lets a device pick up broadcast services without a SIM or subscription and without transmitting anything to the network.
What is Receive Only Mode (ROM)?
ROM was introduced for LTE-based broadcast, often called 5G Broadcast. Devices can receive free-to-air content much as a TV or radio does, which matters for public service broadcasting over mobile technology.
