Subscription Manager Discovery Server (SM-DS)
The SM-DS is a GSMA-defined server that tells an eSIM device where to collect a waiting profile.
What is Subscription Manager Discovery Server (SM-DS)?
When a profile is ready for a device, the SM-DP+ registers an event with the SM-DS. The device polls the discovery server and is pointed to the right SM-DP+, avoiding the need for the user to scan a QR code.
