Enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB)
Enhanced mobile broadband is the 5G usage scenario focused on much higher data speeds and capacity for users.
What is Enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB)?
eMBB is one of the three usage scenarios the ITU set out for 5G (IMT-2020), alongside ultra-reliable low-latency communications and massive machine-type communications. It covers services such as high-definition video, fixed wireless access and busy urban hotspots, and was the main focus of early 5G roll-outs.
