Fibre to the X (FTTx)

FTTx is the umbrella term for broadband designs that bring fibre to some point, "x", in the access network.

What is Fibre to the X (FTTx)?

The "x" can be the home (FTTH), premises (FTTP), building (FTTB), cabinet (FTTC), node (FTTN) or kerb (FTTK). The further the fibre reaches, the shorter any remaining copper and the higher the possible speed.
