Physical Layer (PHY)
The physical layer is the lowest protocol layer, responsible for sending raw bits over the physical medium.
What is Physical Layer (PHY)?
In radio systems the PHY handles modulation, coding, MIMO processing and the placing of data onto time and frequency resources. In fibre or copper systems it defines how signals are sent over the cable.
