Radio Frequency (RF)

Radio frequency is the range of electromagnetic frequencies used for radio communication; the term also covers the equipment and signals that work in that range.

What is Radio Frequency (RF)?

RF spans frequencies from a few kilohertz to hundreds of gigahertz. In telecoms, "RF" also means the radio hardware (amplifiers, filters and antennas) and the study of how radio waves travel and of human exposure to them. Spectrum regulators allocate RF bands to different uses.
