Regression (Machine Learning)
Regression is a machine learning task in which a model predicts a continuous number, such as a price, demand level or temperature.
What is Regression (Machine Learning)?
Linear regression is the simplest form, fitting a straight-line relationship, while neural networks and tree ensembles can model complex non-linear relationships. Regression models are common in forecasting and pricing.
How it works
The model learns from examples with known numeric outcomes, usually minimising the squared difference between predicted and actual values.
