Seed AI
A seed AI is a hypothetical initial AI designed to understand and improve its own code, intended to grow into a far more capable system through recursive self-improvement.
What is Seed AI?
The term was introduced by Eliezer Yudkowsky. It highlights that the goals built into the starting system could determine the values of whatever it becomes.
How it works
The seed is given the ability to rewrite itself and evaluate whether changes improve performance.
