Side Lobe
A side lobe is an unwanted, weaker beam of radiation pointing away from an antenna's main direction.
What is Side Lobe?
Side lobes are a by-product of how waves from separate elements combine. They waste power and can cause interference to users or systems in other directions. Good array design, and more elements, keep side lobes weak relative to the main lobe.
