Very-high-bit-rate Digital Subscriber Line 2 (VDSL2)

VDSL2 is a DSL technology that offers much higher speeds than ADSL over short copper lines, and is the basis of FTTC broadband.

What is Very-high-bit-rate Digital Subscriber Line 2 (VDSL2)?

VDSL2 (ITU-T G.993.2) uses higher frequencies than ADSL, so it is best over shorter lines, such as those from a street cabinet to the home. Vectoring, which cancels crosstalk between neighbouring lines, can increase speeds further.
