Channel State Information (CSI)
Channel State Information is the set of measurements a device reports so that the base station can understand the radio channel between them.
What is Channel State Information (CSI)?
CSI includes the channel quality indicator together with information such as the preferred precoding matrix and the number of data layers (rank) the channel can carry. The base station uses it for scheduling, link adaptation and, especially with multiple antennas, beamforming.
