Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO)
MIMO is an antenna technique that uses several transmit and receive antennas to send multiple data streams at once on the same frequency.
What is Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO)?
By taking advantage of the different paths radio signals follow, MIMO can multiply capacity without extra spectrum. 5G uses "massive MIMO", with dozens of antenna elements, to form narrow beams aimed at individual users.
