Technical documentation is the detailed record, required by the EU AI Act, describing an AI system or GPAI model's design, development, data, testing, performance and risk controls.
What is Technical Documentation under the EU AI Act?
For high-risk systems it follows Annex IV and must be kept for ten years; GPAI providers follow Annexes XI and XII. Small businesses can use a simplified form.
